Position Summary

The Director of Business Operations is accountable for driving the strategic planning, execution, and enhancement of operational processes. This leadership role prioritizes the improvement of reporting, visibility, and efficiency across essential areas such as Program Management, Supply Chain, and Business Intelligence. The Director of Business Operations is responsible for achieving operational goals and overseeing key projects that align with the company's long-term objectives. This role demands managerial experience, expertise in data analysis and project management, as well as knowledge of industry best practices. The ability to resolve escalated operational issues and collaborate across various departments is crucial.

PrincipalDuties

  • Work closely with teams in Supply Chain, Business Intelligence, and Program Management to develop and implement effective operational routines and processes that improve transparency and visibility into key business performance metrics.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence teams to develop processes that ensure data insights are consistently tracked, accessible, and actionable, enabling better decision-making across the business.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to align business priorities and ensure that routines, reporting, and planning processes are optimized to support overall organizational goals.
  • Lead and support the business planning process, working alongside business leaders to ensure effective communication, alignment, and execution. Help guide teams through planning cycles and ensure that plans are properly documented and tracked.
  • Develop and manage reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into business performance across various functional areas. Ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are regularly communicated to leadership and stakeholders.


Identify opportunities for process improvements within existing operations and lead initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline business routines. Foster a culture of continuous

improvement across the business.


  • Assist in the implementation of new processes, tools, or systems, ensuring smooth transitions and proper training for relevant teams. Provide leadership support during periods of organizational change.
  • Proactively identify issues or gaps in current processes that may impact business performance, and work collaboratively with functional teams to develop and execute corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations, monitoring financial and operational metrics to measure achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Provide strategic leadership to enhance reporting, visibility, and efficiency across key operational areas.

  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement operational strategies that align with overarching business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Expertise in refining processes to enhance reporting, visibility, and efficiency.
  • Project Management: Strong track record in managing and executing projects that drive organizational success and meet operational goals.
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in utilizing data analytics to inform decision-making and improve operational performance.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Effective communicator with a talent for working collaboratively across various teams to resolve escalated operational issues.
  • Managerial Experience: Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams and mentoring staff within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry best practices to drive innovation and operational excellence.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, business intelligence, supply chain, or program management, with at least 5 years in leadership or strategic roles.
  • Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt preferred
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Products as well as Project Management Software, Business Intelligence Tools, and process mapping tools.


Other Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the USA.
  • Occasional travel may be required to meet with stakeholders and oversee operations.
  • Ability to work in an office environment, including sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and attending meetings.
