CFO - NFP

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a well know Non-Profit Organization is looking for their next CFO in New York, NY. Summary: Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee an organizational budget of 1M to enable our client to advance the health and well-being of all New Yorkers in collaboration with the NYC Health Department with integrity. The CFO will manage a staff to provide analysis, information, reporting, accountability, billing, payments, general ledger and strategic guidance on how best to utilize resources and ensure agency compliance with fiscal reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
• Eight to ten years of experience in financial management
• Experience in strategic planning
• Experience in the oversight and review of financial transactions
• Experience managing mixed and complex revenue streams (government and public funding, philanthropic support, etc.)
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of business and fiscal administration
• Proven advanced leadership skills in a not-for-profit industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others; Ability to supervise and support staff
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies, laws, rules, regulations, and procedures; Ability to develop and install program procedures
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
