About the Role:

We’re seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy and operations for our health services company based in Richmond, VA. This executive role oversees a team of 20+ professionals and plays a critical part in driving organizational transformation, financial transparency, and long-term sustainability.

What You’ll Do:

✅ Lead & Inspire

Manage and mentor a diverse finance team of 20
Collaborate with executive leadership to shape strategic direction
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

✅ Drive Financial Excellence

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Lead annual audits and maintain strong relationships with external partners

✅ Champion Change

Spearhead financial system upgrades and process improvements
Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency
Communicate change initiatives clearly across all levels of the organization

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
Proven success in managing teams and leading organizational change
Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and government reporting
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Bonus Points For:

Experience in behavioral health, human services, or public sector
Familiarity with Medicaid funding and grant management
A passion for mission-driven work and community impact
