Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Asia & ANZ to lead the finance function across one of the most strategically important and dynamic regions of the business. With operations across over 11 markets—including Greater China, Southeast Asia, India, Korea, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand—this role demands a combination of sharp financial acumen, regional insight, and strong commercial instinct. The successful candidate will be a critical member of the Asia-Pacific leadership team, supporting operational execution while contributing to long-term strategy development and shareholder value creation.
As the financial steward of the region, you will serve as a key business partner to the Regional CEO and Group CFO, providing leadership across a full spectrum of finance activities including regional P&L management, controllership, commercial finance, investor support, risk and compliance, capital planning, treasury, tax strategy, and performance transformation.
In addition to driving financial discipline and accuracy, the CFO will play a central role in growth initiatives, including market expansion, business model innovation, portfolio restructuring, and M&A activities. You will also be responsible for building and leading a regional finance team that can scale with the business, with a particular emphasis on developing future CFO and CFO-1 talent.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering
- Act as the lead financial advisor to the Regional CEO and the Asia-Pacific executive leadership team
- Drive the development of regional business strategy and ensure financial alignment with global priorities
- Provide financial input into pricing, go-to-market strategies, supply chain optimization, and customer/segment profitability analysis
- Support strategic decision-making through rigorous business case analysis, investment appraisal, and scenario planning
- Lead and advise on strategic partnerships, joint ventures, new market entry, and divestitures
Regional Financial Management & Controllership
- Own the full P&L for the Asia & ANZ region, ensuring performance visibility and accountability across all markets
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, integrating business drivers and market dynamics
- Ensure strong financial controls, timely statutory reporting, and full compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and SOX/internal audit standards
- Oversee cost control, inventory management, and supply chain finance metrics to improve operational leverage
- Implement regional shared services strategies where applicable, enhancing efficiency and scalability
Treasury, Tax & Capital Efficiency
- Manage regional liquidity, working capital, and cash flow forecasting in collaboration with Group Treasury
- Optimize capital structure across countries, ensuring alignment with transfer pricing and tax strategies
- Develop and execute regional funding plans, including local debt instruments, capital repatriation, and intercompany financing
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across banking, FX, and cross-border fund flows
- Partner with external advisors and internal tax teams on risk mitigation, tax audits, and structuring matters
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure robust risk governance and compliance with all applicable financial, regulatory, and operational frameworks
- Monitor regional macroeconomic and geopolitical developments that could impact financial results or business continuity
- Lead internal audit engagements, coordinate external audits, and manage relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies
- Ensure compliance with anti-corruption, anti-bribery, data protection, and ESG-related financial reporting requirements
Transformation, Systems & Data
- Champion the digital transformation of finance, including ERP enhancements, analytics platforms, and automation initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting timeliness, accuracy, and actionable insights for decision-makers
- Implement tools and dashboards for real-time performance monitoring and financial KPI tracking
- Collaborate on enterprise-wide transformation projects (e.g., digital platforms, shared services, agile ways of working)
Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and lead a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive regional finance organization
- Coach and mentor finance leaders across markets, with a focus on CFO-1 development and succession planning
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and empower teams to operate with accountability and agility
- Serve as a cultural ambassador, driving integrity, performance excellence, and innovation across the region
Qualifications & Experience
- 18+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with at least 5–7 years as a regional CFO or equivalent in a complex multinational environment
- Proven experience managing finance in both emerging and developed Asia-Pacific markets, including Australia and New Zealand
- Strong background in P&L ownership, regional FP&A, commercial finance, and transformation leadership
- Prior experience in working with listed companies or PE/VC-backed organizations with strong governance frameworks
- Deep understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS), treasury operations, tax structuring, and cross-border compliance
- Expertise in leading finance digitization, ERP platforms (SAP/Oracle/Workday), and data analytics implementations
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; professional certifications (CPA, CA, CFA, MBA) strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills — with the ability to influence at the Board level and across cultures
