Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Executive (Controller or CFO) to join our executive team. The Executive will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the organization, ensuring sound financial management, and driving growth. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of GAAP, financial concepts and practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, HR and insurance matters.

Duties

Improve upon, develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate representation of the company’s financial position.
Manage general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy in all entries and reconciliations.
Supervise accounts receivable and payable processes to maintain efficient cash flow management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and maintain relationships with external auditors.
Provide insights on financial performance through detailed analysis of key metrics and trends.
Lead the finance team in technical accounting matters, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and drive operational efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Financial Executive in a small to midsize company.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, general ledger reconciliation, technical accounting, and financial management principles.
Expertise in regulatory reporting and compliance standards.
Expertise in QuickBooks and other accounting management software.
Exceptional skills in financial report writing and presentation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast future financial trends based on historical data.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
MBA or CPA preferred.
Possess strong operational skills and ability to adapt in a highly entreprenurial environment.
