A successful candidate will strategically monitor and support field sales activity, implement and execute sales support projects, and onboard brokers. This person will complete request for proposal/quote responses and provide direct sales support to regional/ field sales associates and will be responsible for resolving and/or conducting research to resolve problems and/or issues that impact sales support programs.

In this role, you will…

Increase annual premium sales by:
-
Supporting sales efforts of Wellfleet Regional Sales Representatives
-
Onboarding new brokers and supporting existing broker relationships
-
Providing marketing materials and education to help brokers, business partners and other sales entities understand and articulate Wellfleet products, solutions, and benefits

Ensure that the company’s products are competitively positioned within his/her assigned area(s); supports sales representatives to increase penetration into existing accounts and acquire new accounts:

Develop and maintains a holistic view of the company’s offerings and competitor and market conditions within the assigned area and identifies segment opportunities

Understand suite of capabilities and compatibility with broker to support sales representatives in developing overall broker strategy

Maintain knowledge of enrollment strategies to include VB, Core Benefits, platform technologies, and employee engagement and education; utilizes knowledge to support the sales process

Conduct preliminary risk assessment for prospects. Coordinates with Field Sales and Underwriting to review employer information and provide presale offers

Manage negotiation among sales team, brokers, and underwriting to balance needs within financial guidelines. Professionally and effectively communicates decisions including case characteristics relative to pricing expectations / risk guidelines, and decision rationale

Professionally manage the broker sales activity of the field force by strategically monitoring pipeline health; tracks top pursuits through customer/contact relationship management systems; drives the activity, pipeline and revenue goals for field force within scope of responsibility to meet and exceed market growth goals. Ensures a consistent and efficient customer acquisition process from sales through service

Subject matter expert for CRM systems and tools to ensure leads and sales are accurately reflected

Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and give feedback to manager

Embrace a culture of collaboration and teamwork with field sales representatives on business development and relationship-building

We are looking for candidates with…
-
Associate’s degree in business or related field and three years successful work related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems

Insurance industry sales support experience REQUIRED; Group Workplace Voluntary Benefits experience strongly preferred

State life and health agent license, or willingness to attain

Outstanding attention to detail, ability to problem solve and high personal quality expectations

Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with Wellfleet Sales team, brokers, and other Wellfleet department staff

Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously

Capable of handling broad scope projects that have short to medium-term focus; can work independently but with guidance on more complex projects

The annual gross base salary range is $65,000 to $85,000. This range anticipates the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
