GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee a broad array of financial and management accounting activities in the company. From developing forward thinking analysis to generating financial reports and summaries, to scaling our
automated financial processes, the Finance department is an integral partner and advisor to the company for creating forecasts and predicting future growth.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, audits, and departmental budgets.
- Ability to drive business decisions by analyzing large and complex data, addressing financial risks and opportunities for the company.
- Direct the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing, and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
- Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components, including billings, cash receipts application, and additional departmental functions.
- Partner with the company’s CPA Firm to assure corporate income tax compliance, timely completion of all corporate income tax returns, and taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
- Oversee the Sales Tax software maintenance to ensure accurate and timely filing of state sales taxes.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate filing of all county and city annual report filing and returns as required by individual state licensing.
- Maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data to enhance the company’s value.
- Work with the Leadership team to evaluate new accounting software options. Find efficiencies in processes through elimination and automation.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of custom reports.
- Ability to interact with people at all levels across the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Master of Business Administration, preferred.
- CPA/CMA preferred.
- 20 years of progressive financial management experience.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlooks applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is one that does not report to a formal office location daily but operates from a home office and requires an individual that can operate in this environment as well as provide the required work environment to include the necessary telephone/internet lines. Periodic face-to-face meetings are mandatory at Tech Systems corporate office in Buford, Georgia.
DRIVER’S LICENSE
Must have valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record, satisfactory to Tech Systems’ automobile insurance carrier.
