About the Role
The Chief Revenue Officer is directly responsible for all things revenue at Power Digital, driving, maintaining and growing new business/sales and sales enablement teams, which include our outbound and inbound groups. To scale sales for existing services and build new revenue streams and teams, this executive will work with and develop the Sales Leadership team through a sales strategy that is part organic and part M&A, which will also drive international expansion.
Partnering with Power’s Chief Marketing Officer, the CRO will identify and execute strategies that build deal flow and fit Power’s Ideal Client Profile (ICP), developing sales teams that convert deal flow, and managing an annual revenue forecast that ties to the 1, 3 and 5 year growth targets.
The CRO will provide executive leadership and vision for the revenue organization, while informing and impacting the company at large, collaborating with department leaders to grow business as a whole.
Core Responsibilities
1. Build/manage and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts.
- Weekly forecasting to the executive leadership team for New Business (by division) and Service Expansion.
- Iteration of our predictable forecasting model that promotes a 95%+ accuracy.
- Maintain healthy revenue metrics of 70%+ retainer .
2. Management and development of the Sales Leadership Team(s).
- Work directly with the VP of Growth, VP of Commercial Sales, Sr. Director of Sales Development and others to develop hard and soft skills.
- Build coaching and development plans for each direct report.
- Lead by example as a representation of our core values (Integrity, Autonomy, Growth Mindset, Solution Oriented, Always Innovate, Have Fun).
- Work with leadership to contribute positively to company culture and employee engagement
3. Hire/develop/retain and scale the sales team
- Evaluate and iterate on the sales team structure, and add new teams to fuel growth.
- Maintain a healthy team retention rate of 90%+.
- Develop sales training programs and frameworks that tie to team member skill development and career growth.
4. Scale the revenue org to drive a deeper book of business, building structure and add additional revenue streams through new go-to-market strategies
- Build a sales strategy that drives a strong book of new business that converts.
- Build new revenue streams that accelerate organic growth.
- Work with the M&A team to integrate new acquisitions
5. Work with Marketing to build sustainable and predictable deal flow.
- Build sales scripts, strategies, promotions, etc. to attract new prospects and build predictable deal flow.
6. Improve and iterate on sales efficiency through process improvement and sales operations developments.
- Enhance the customer experience, starting in the pre-sales through conversion process.
- Work with Sales Enablement to improve sales operations and sales process, including CRM workflows, nova Blueprints and deal flow dissemination.
- Work cross functionally with the Product + Activation teams to evaluate and iterate on our pricing strategies.
7. Develop relationships with Power Digital’s top 50 clients, driving product quality across the product team.
- Maximize ROI for our top clients..
- Elevating the floor to reduce churn risk and mitigate errors.
- Consistently pushing the product team to innovate and follow through on implementation through the activation team by bringing insights from client conversations and other touchpoints.
Requirements
- 15+ years of Sales Leadership experience, ideally previous CRO roles and Digital Marketing background.
- Understanding of marketing services across the customer journey.
- Previous C-Level experience managing a large, complex organization.
- Previous focus on sales structure and rapid revenue growth.
- In-depth knowledge of sales process, operations, negotiation and sales mentorship.
- International market expansion is a big plus.
