Job Overview
Serves as a business consultant to MB dealers for variable operations issues by measuring and ensuring achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). Monitors dealership compliance with MBUSA policies and procedures; drives dealer performance and acts as a bridge between dealer and home office with an increased focus on customer experience.
Collaborates closely with Aftersales Operations and Network Development teams in relevant segments; regularly updates MBUSA home office teams on opportunities and learnings from the field; maintains relationships with dealership management and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Dealer counseling (xx%): Counsel dealer to maximize vehicle sales, enhance dealer financial viability, support dealer in executing sales improvement plans
- Performance management (xx%): Visit dealers every month/quarter (based on segment/need) to drive performance uplift
- Dealer Development/Training (xx%): Achieve market performance targets by coordinating efforts with Sales Performance Managers and the Network development teams; provide/assist with dealer training in line with North Star plan
- MBUSA Training (xx%): Complete MBUSA required trainings; Provide training and onboarding guidance for sales team as needed
- Operational issue resolution (xx%): Assist dealer in solving tactical issues (incl. vehicle allocation, new car launch, inventory-related issues).
- Process development (xx%): Assist Network Development teams to develop business plan for targeted dealer to drive sales revenue
- Tactical team collaboration (xx%): Onboard tactical team to targeted dealers for performance improvement; ensure tactical team hand-over plan is feasible; sustain improved processes with dealer
- Sales metrics: percentage new program initiatives onboarded with assigned dealers, NV Sales, dealer sales effectiveness score, 5 Start experience, registration effectiveness
- EV metrics: EV sales, sales through digital channel

- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive retail processes & procedures and experienced in interaction with retail ownership and management
- Automotive retail education (or equivalent experience) is beneficial

- Industry capabilities: Passion and knowledge in automobile and automobile end customers; deep understanding of automobile retail
- MBUSA specialized skills: Proficient in explaining business model to dealers; proficient in EV and ongoing development; proven record at driving MBUSA dealer sales performance
- Digital skills: Sensitive to data, can analyze data to derive action for dealers, experienced at digital retailing and digital customer journey
- Strong planning and organizational skills – able to breakdown complexity into digestible and communicable parts
- Willingness to take calculated risks
- Ability to act independently and decisively in areas for which a clear process or guidelines do not exist
- Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal as well as written)
- Experience with market research sources, data analysis techniques and methodologies from various research tools/organizations

Additional Information

- Proficient knowledge of retail processes and procedures, incl. New/Pre-owned sales, accessories, service & parts.
