PATMI Partnership is a HR advisory firm dedicated to enabling long-term, sustainable leadership in finance. We are people and performance strategists, specializing in CFO and CFO-1 succession and transition. Our clients are companies at critical inflection points: high-growth innovators, global multinationals undergoing transformation, and private equity-backed enterprises building future-ready leadership pipelines.
Our work spans finance transformation, leadership transition, and organizational design, but we are best known for our deep specialization in supporting the top layers of finance: the CFO and the direct reports who make the office of the CFO resilient and scalable.
We advise CHROs, CEOs, Boards, and finance leaders on how to:
- Future-proof their finance leadership by building robust succession pipelines for CFO and CFO-1 roles.
- Navigate transition periods — including exits, interim periods, and post-merger realignment.
- Recalibrate finance leadership models for changing business contexts, especially in capital-intensive, regulated, or innovation-driven sectors.
Our experience draws on decades of global HR leadership across industries, with a practical understanding of what it takes to build high-trust, high-impact teams in Southeast Asia and beyond.
At PATMI, we believe that finance leadership is not just about control and compliance — it’s about clarity, courage, and commerciality. We help organizations find and develop the leaders who embody that.

PATMI is proud to support a multinational client in the industrial engineering sector — a respected leader in infrastructure systems, automation, and sustainable heavy industry — in the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer, Southeast Asia & ANZ.
This is a pivotal leadership role within a high-impact regional business spanning Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand. As the company continues to invest in innovation, regional expansion, and operational efficiency, the CFO will be a central architect of both financial performance and strategic direction.
This opportunity is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in complex, project-based businesses, is passionate about regional leadership, and is ready to operate as a true strategic partner to the Regional CEO and executive leadership team.
The Chief Financial Officer, Southeast Asia & ANZ will have full ownership of the region’s financial stewardship and performance management, while also acting as a key player in shaping commercial strategy and investment priorities.
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role overseeing a geographically diverse finance organization. The CFO will be accountable for enabling sustainable growth, maintaining robust financial control, and building a finance function that is both efficient and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Finance & Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Regional CEO and executive leadership, contributing actively to business strategy and decision-making.
- Lead the development of long-term financial plans, strategic scenario models, and investment roadmaps.
- Drive financial alignment with broader business goals, including sustainability and digitization.
2. Regional Financial Management
- Oversee all aspects of financial operations across Southeast Asia and Australia-New Zealand, including FP&A, controlling, statutory accounting, tax, treasury, and compliance.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting that informs executive decisions and investor confidence.
- Ensure consistent application of IFRS and internal policies across all entities and markets.
3. Business Partnering & Commercial Support
- Provide strong commercial finance leadership across business units, including project finance, pricing strategies, and bid governance.
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain to enhance productivity, margin improvement, and capital efficiency.
- Support negotiations and decision-making for major contracts, joint ventures, and project investments.
4. Risk, Controls & Governance
- Ensure robust risk management frameworks, internal controls, and audit compliance.
- Lead financial readiness and governance for complex, high-value projects and transactions.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulators.
5. Transformation & Technology
- Lead finance transformation initiatives across the region, including ERP upgrades, process automation, and advanced analytics adoption.
- Embed a performance culture focused on continuous improvement, agility, and data-driven decision-making.
6. Talent Development & Succession
- Build and mentor a high-performing, regionally distributed finance leadership team.
- Identify and develop CFO-1 talent (e.g., Regional Controllers, FP&A Heads, Plant Finance Leads) as part of a structured succession framework.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and leadership development in line with group values.
We’re seeking a leader who is financially astute, commercially sharp, and organizationally mature — someone who can operate at strategic altitude but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. You will bring a combination of technical strength, regional fluency, and people leadership.
You Will Likely Bring:
- At least 15 years of progressive finance experience, including regional leadership roles across Southeast Asia and/or ANZ.
- Background in industrial engineering, EPC, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors — ideally with exposure to capital projects, joint ventures, or operational complexity.
- A track record of business partnering, change leadership, and process transformation.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, regional tax and regulatory landscapes, and cross-border finance operations.
- Proven ability to lead culturally diverse teams and build trust across markets.
- Professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA); MBA or equivalent is a plus.
