Role And Responsibilities
The Sales / Revenue Operations Specialist will hold responsibilities across six key areas -
- Set up and drive scalable systems and processes
- Conduct analysis and reporting on sales, marketing, and customer success data
- Own strategic initiatives within the Sales / Marketing to set it up for growth and scale. Some of these projects overlap with other functions like Customer Success and Product.
- Enable strategic business decisions
- Drive capability building initiatives for the sales team
- Build expertise on Sales / Revenue ops, document the learnings, and mentor team members.
- Responsible for maintaining CRM Systems including updates, enhancements, building reports and dashboards, workflows and system security.
- Responsible for creating CRM related processes for data storage and automating data flows.
- Increase sales productivity by simplifying processes and implementing sales automation on the CRM system while proactively eliminating any bottlenecks in the sales CRM process
On a day-to-day basis, the Sales / Revenue Operations Specialist will -
- Partner with the relevant teams (Sales / Marketing / Customer Success) to identify gaps in the process, recommend solutions for streamlining and implement the proposed improvements
- Participate in the selection and implementation of technologies that can be used by the teams to increase efficiency and outcome
- Establish and monitor key growth/revenue metrics. Serve as the key resource in all areas pertaining to data analysis, real-time dashboards, and ad-hoc reporting. Provide critical insights/reports to aid market segmentation, prioritization, headcount planning, sales targets, sales incentives, pricing analysis, board reporting, etc.
- Build a framework for revenue forecasting across geographies and various levels of the sales org.
- Drive cadence through weekly and quarterly reviews
- Monitor the progress and outcomes of strategic initiatives that you drive within the Sales / Marketing including those that overlap with other functions like Customer Success and Product.
- Drive communication around long term goals, challenges, and successes of the sales team
- Serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other internal stakeholders, working to share knowledge, and "getting things done"
- Build a long-term Sales Enablement roadmap that includes roles-specific tools, processes, and scalable, repeatable best practices. Regularly spend time in the sales team to understand the “field reality”
- Make recommendations for increasing sales conversion & productivity and customer retention
- Roll out a comprehensive onboarding program through direct and third-party resources in tight collaboration with HR
- Help create a development program for the sales team to ensure they have the skills, knowledge, processes, and tools required to increase velocity and conversion rates at each stage of the sales cycle. Coordinate with the Customer Success team to build capabilities along the same lines for customer satisfaction and retention.
- Build an expertise and knowledge base pertaining to Sales / Revenue ops over time. Train and mentor the team members on the same
- Streamlining Processes and ensuring control over systems spread across Sales, Marketing and Customer Success Business functions. The role would also be focused towards building intelligence around Customer Success metrics and Operations to help derive actionable insights
