Westates Construction Company is part of a vertically integrated real estate investment firm. We are a home builder (J Thomas Homes), investment fund, developer (primarily multifamily), construction company, property management company, and we have our own cabinet, flooring, and countertop businesses. Our primary focus is to grow wealth for owners, investors, and employees, which we do primarily through land acquisition and development.
Role Description
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee several functions of the business. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, overseeing the accounting team and its preparation of financial statements, financial reporting, insurance, working with outside attorneys, and assisting other company leaders with operational efficiency, risk control, strategy, etc.
Our ideal candidate has a MAcc or MBA or JD with substantial accounting or finance background and some experience in Real Estate. A successful candidate would be someone who is sharp, creative, great interpersonal skills, and excited to help grow a business.
