THE ROLE:
We are looking for a hands-on Head of Sales Operations to take ownership of the company’s sales operations, which include:
- Operations & Process Management
- Customer Data & Insights
Integrating two companies CRM systems and processes to create one, harmonised view on accounts, data, opportunities and generate marketing insights from the combined company is a key objective.
Operations & Process Management
This entails working with the company’s billing and invoicing partners to ensure the smooth and efficient process for the lifecycle of an order, from creating the order through to managing the billing and invoicing process. Part of this function is to manage and coordinate marketing operations, which entails working with internal stakeholders to introduce a marketing automation system, using the current tool, Hubspot. Key to the role is ensuring sales and marketing campaigns are driven by up-to-date and accurate data, bringing new techniques to data usage/segmentation and improving the company’s data processes.
Customer Data & Insights
This entails working with internal stakeholders to manage the rollout, usage and adoption of the CRM system (Hubspot) throughout the sales, marketing and customer services team. Responsibilities include creating business metrics to measure performance and the related KPIs and utilise internal data analytics, like client usage statistics, to push relevant data to the sales team for follow up action.
Responsibilities
· Drive the company’s data and CRM strategy across the combined businesses
· Assist the sales and marketing teams in getting the best out of the CRM system, to include data selection and data research
· Work with finance to create a new process for forecasting and reporting on sales and revenue
· Manage all incoming contacts and leads, ensuring preferences are kept up to date by channel within the CRM system
· Create an efficient and streamlined process for order and invoice management
· Ability to create and integrate a full cycle sales order system, from order entry, to permissioning to invoicing and billing
· Create a customer operations process for managing renewals (SWOT)
· Develop and execute CRM campaigns such as win-back, reactivation and preference centre follow up
· Creation of reporting and establishing best practices around campaign analysis, lead volume reporting and funnel analysis
· Develop and maintain dashboards for: Sales targets and pipeline, Marketing opportunities and bespoke dashboards for team
Qualifications
· Solid experience of driving business performance transformation via data/database strategy
· In-depth understanding of Hubspot and marketing automation system development and maintenance
· Experience managing teams in different jurisdictions
· Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
· Solid experience of data mining, list building and data management
· Strong organisational and project management skills
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams concurrently and gain buy-in from key stakeholders
· Experience in building and managing teams as the role expands
