Role Description: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Type: Full-time | On-site
Horizon Ventures is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of the company. This executive role is critical in driving fiscal discipline, strategic planning, and capital acquisition for the company’s diverse operations in environmental consultancy, mining, infrastructure, and transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital management.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), preparing actionable insights and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Supervise accounting, compliance, audit, and taxation functions, ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Prepare investor-ready pitch decks and financial models to attract Venture Capital (VC) and seed funding.
- Engage with investment bankers, financial institutions, and private equity players to secure strategic funding.
- Monitor project profitability, optimize cost structures, and evaluate capital expenditures for ongoing infrastructure and mining contracts.
- Collaborate with business units to align financial goals with operational strategies.
- Report directly to the CEO and board on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance experience, preferably with exposure to infrastructure, construction, mining, or environmental sectors.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising through VC, PE, or institutional finance.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and investor communication skills.
- Deep understanding of Indian tax laws, GST, and Companies Act compliance.

- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP, MIS, and project accounting tools.
