Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to lead and scale our financial function across the Group. The CFO will be responsible for the daily financial operations, regulatory and strategic reporting, board and investor communication, investment analysis, and capital pursuit initiatives to support our long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations of all group entities, ensuring accuracy, control, and regulatory compliance
- Develop and deliver consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the Board of Directors and shareholders
- Implement robust financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Lead cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and capital allocation across the group
- Establish KPIs and internal dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance
Investor Relations & Fundraising
- Act as the main point of contact for current and prospective investors
- Prepare investor updates, financial models, and pitch materials
- Manage due diligence processes and data rooms for investment rounds
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic investment opportunities (equity, debt, M&A, etc.)
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdictions
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel across jurisdictions
- Work closely with compliance and risk functions on financial regulatory frameworks (FCA, EMI, PSD2)
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance team across jurisdictions (UK, EU, and international)
- Build a high-performance culture and develop internal talent
- Collaborate closely with other department heads (operations, treasury, legal, IT)
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as CFO or senior finance executive in a regulated financial services or fintech institution
- Strong knowledge of EMI, card acquiring/issuing, and FX operations
- Experience preparing board-level reports and managing investor relations
- Demonstrated success in fundraising or investment execution
- ACA/ACCA/CFA qualified or equivalent; MBA is a plus
- Familiarity with multi-entity, cross-border financial operations
- Strategic thinker with high financial acumen and business judgment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to engage board members and investors
- Hands-on and detail-oriented, with ability to manage both strategic priorities and operational execution
