Job Responsibilities
- Leads sales forecasting, strategic planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts.
- Coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the firm.
- Works to ensure all sales organization objectives are assigned in a timely fashion.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement.
- Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
- Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
- Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales and financial reports, and other intelligence essential to the sales organization.
- Coordinates training delivery to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel in the sales organization supported.
- Provides input to senior leadership in the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs.
- Designs complex plans tied to budgets & strategies, performance data capture against targets, payment execution.
- Works with Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources, provides assistance with sales incentive compensation administration on an as-needed basis.
- Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
- Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
- Designs and administers the organization’s CRM (SFDC).
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Strong Business Acumen with Executive Presence
- Exceptional Presentation Skills with expertise in (PowerPoint, Excel, other)
- 5+ years of experience creating, managing and updating sales incentive compensation plans.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing analytically rigorous initiatives.
- Deep expertise on sales automation and CRM systems (SFDC).
- Successful experience managing teams and solving complex problems.
- Above average understanding and ability of computers, databases, and online systems.
- Possesses an action-oriented attitude that results in superb follow-up and attention to detail.
- Project management experience.
- Results oriented (Service, Quality, and Continuous Improvement) – with an eye on continuous improvement of processes that lead to high quality results.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization in order to achieve the desired results.
- Commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals through a desire to participate and help other members of the team.
Education, Certification/Licensure, And/or Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience in any business discipline.
- MBA or other advanced degree a plus
- Five plus years of sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
Physical Demands
- The ability to lift objects over 30 pounds
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity and ability to bend, reach, stoop
Other
- Travel Required: Frequently, up to 50%
- Weekends/Evenings/holidays: Yes, some evenings/weekends required. Medical conventions are held over weekends, which this person would be required to attend.
