Director Retail Sales and Operations - SAL024326
The Director of Retail Sales and Operations is responsible for leading their region’s multi-channel sales team to deliver an unparalleled retail wireless experience to existing and potential customers. This individual will focus the team on growing our customer base by supporting and influencing enterprise solutions, increasing the overall revenue and profitability of the area and identifying additional strategies that are relevant to maximizing sales and the communities we serve within the region.
- Develop and execute a sales, marketing and distribution strategy that achieves winning budgetary (P&L) and subscriber growth expectations while increasing the overall return on capital.
- Leverage a multitude of cultural, and customer experience and work force management drivers intended to foster the organization’s culture to maximize the attraction, retention and development of a diverse direct and indirect workforce.
- Ensure people resources and assets related to retail sales and operations are allocated appropriately within the area to advance the company’s strategic priorities and maximize sales.
- Enable strong sales performance through the translation of complex and integrated organizational strategies and initiatives into tactics and accountabilities for frontline leaders, associates and indirect Agent Owners/associates.
- Interpret, communicate, and implement company policies and procedures while ensuring proper controls are in maintained to protect company assets, confidential/proprietary information, and compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with corporate and field support teams in the ongoing development and execution of a comprehensive multi-channel distribution plan that accelerates the company’s long-term strategy for growth.
- Analyze and provide regionally and nationally based recommendations for improvements, addressing competitive challenges, financial results, retail sales and operations, asset management, customer experience, distribution, and overall market performance.
- Responsible for effective creation and management of area budgets.
- Identify and foster community initiatives, public service and public relations activities that develop a positive image for the company, demonstrates our commitment in the local community and positions us for success.
- 10+ years of relevant and increasingly more complex work and leadership experience, with preference on multi-channel sales execution
- 5+ years leadership experience, with preference on leading geographically dispersed and multi- site support
- Prior management of budgets and P&L responsibility
- Demonstrated capability in analyzing complex and ambiguous situations to devise insightful solutions and implement them successfully
- Requires strong communication, leadership, coaching/development and strategic planning skills
- Proven ability to build meaningful, long term relationships with the Executive team, key stakeholders and external business partners
- Must be able to travel as needed to attend training, conferences, and related activities; approximately 50%- 75% of the time
- Ability to successfully meet U.S. Cellular’ s Fleet policy requirements upon hire and for continued placement in role
