Revenue Operations Manager work examples:
Hires, supervises, trains, evaluates and coordinates activities of professional and other assigned employees engaged variously in revenue collecting, accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, customer activity and related tasks. Administers policies and procedures concerning collecting, receipting, posting depositing, etc. Interprets related ordinances and statutes and renders decisions concerning payments. Administers annual budget and controls expenditure of approved funds. Selects and hires new employees. Prepares requirements for automated systems. Develop, modify, and operate revenue billing and collection automated systems. Performs related duties as assigned.
Water and Sewer:
Revenue Operations Manager work activities involve the following tasks: Hires, supervises, trains, evaluates and coordinates activities of professional and other assigned employees engaged in various revenue collecting, accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, customer activity and related tasks. Administers policies and procedures concerning collecting, accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, customer activity and related tasks. Interprets related ordinances and statutes and renders decisions concerning payments. Administers annual budget and controls expenditures of approved funds. Develops, modifies, and operates billing and collection systems. Subject to be on call 24/7. Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Data Sciences and two (2) years work experience or five (5) years experience in municipal and/or utility revenue collections.
2. Ability to apply professional accounting, collections, and personnel principles to the daily operations of a revenue collecting activity.
3. Ability to maintain harmonious relationships with tax-paying public and among assigned employees; organizational and planning ability; excellent vocabulary and verbal expression; ability to apply and train to adapt to resources to shifting work loads are the most significant worker requirements for Revenue Operations Manager.

Water and Sewer:
1). High School Diploma or GED.
2). Valid State Vehicle Operator's License.
3). A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Data Sciences and two years work experience or six years work experience in municipal and/or utility revenue collections, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4). Demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
5). Experience in utility collections office, extensive knowledge of collection office policies and procedures, and knowledge of water and sewerage system.
6). Ability to effectively communicate with customers, both internal and external, on an equal basis with tact and diplomacy; ability to plan and execute approved work programs. Attention to detail to avoid errors.
7). Valid Class 2 Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Certificates issued by the State of Louisiana, Dept. of Health and Hospitals is preferred but not required.
Normal Promotion path from this Class:
Any higher level class for which eligible and qualified.
Physical Ability: Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds), along with some combination of climbing and balancing. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Requires visual perception and discrimination. Requires ability to communicate orally. Job must be performed with or without accommodations.
Work Environment: Tasks are regularly performed in doors in an office environment. There is limited exposure to extreme weather conditions. May have normal exposure to dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature, noise, and computer screens.
