Job Description
The Senior Vice President of Sales will have a strong background sales operations and sales management, with comprehensive experience selling to both enterprise and SMB/MM SaaS accounts. Additionally, the SVP of Sales will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee operations activities in the Sales organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains all staff in the department.
- Experience leading sales teams of at least five FTEs that consistently meet or exceed sales projections.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Coach with proven ability to measure and drive performance as well as provide real-time coaching/create actionable development plans. Experience developing a training process that effectively equips reps for closing deals and consistently meeting quotas.
- Experience developing and implementing successful processes for growth and net new customer acquisition and further market penetration.
- Articulate a prescriptive selling playbook. Ability to understand the customer’s purchasing journey, understand obstacles, and develop tools to overcome challenges.
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Scrappy, high energy, and “roll up your sleeves” mentality with the ability to work in a fluid environment; a self-starter that can define his/her own agenda
Qualifications
- Strong sales IQ.
- Thorough understanding of the process and metrics of attracting, acquiring, and converting prospects into long-term customers.
- Demonstrable experience designing and/or identifying repeatable and scalable operations.
- Highly analytical; utilizes data, metrics, and measurement to shape strategies, optimize performance, and generate high-impact management reporting.
- Experience structuring, tracking, and improving KPIs and metrics to manage and lead the business.
- Experience establishing quotas, budgets, sales compensation plans, pricing optimization, and process for regular reporting cadence.
- Polished communicator with the ability to articulate a clear vision and value proposition to customers, partners, and team.
- Open, engaging, action-oriented leader who inspires and holds others accountable.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
