Zendesk is seeking a strong leader to join our Revenue Operations team to lead our North America Commercial teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching team members and partnering with sales on customer opportunities. A successful candidate will be a quick learner with a strategic leadership mindset, resourceful and a self-starter. This candidate also will be able to manage time and balance responsibilities in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
Responsibilities
Mentor and manage an evolving team of Revenue Operations team analysts to operate with a Deal Desk mentality
Build and maintain strong relationships, communication, and rules of engagement with cross-functional GTM leadership
Provide thought leadership to develop innovative and strategic deal structures to fit the needs of the business and our customers
Oversee day-to-day operations; delegate tasks and set deadlines
Ensure that all deals align with corporate strategies, are reviewed for compliance and are contracted, invoiced, and provisioned timely & accurately
Share best practices and advise on significant projects that address pain points to increase scale and efficiency in the Quote to Cash process
Assist in developing repeatable, scalable processes to address the needs of a high growth SaaS company
Balance workload for team members
Handle escalations for AMER Commercial segment
Develop team priorities/goals, including ad hoc projects, and guide team members to achieve them
Review and ensure SOX compliance in billing & provisioning processes
Enhance internal documentation to educate sales team to further utilize automated and self-serviced processes
Requirements
Minimum 5 years Quote-to-Cash experience, including 3+ years of people management.
Strong people management skills with a focus in mentorship and growth
Thorough understanding of SaaS business models and contract terms
Ability to lead calmly under pressure with ruthless prioritization and timely and transparent communication
5+ years experience in proactively partnering & making recommendations with GTM, Finance & Legal leadership
Detail-oriented but also able to understand bigger picture
Ability to stay organized and easily manage multiple deals and tasks simultaneously for multiple stakeholders
Operational experience with both transactional and strategic deals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to think fast and flexibly adapt to the situation
Advanced experience with Salesforce, CPQ, Zuora and G-Suite preferred
Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, Business Administration, or closely related field?
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate complex scenarios and topics in a clear, logical manner
