A Day in the Life of the Sales Operations Manager
As the entire sales operations ’team’, you’ll truly be knee-deep (or hopefully deeper) into all things that will help this growing sales organization have a healthy heartbeat. You will work closely with the Sales Enablement team to ensure that best practices are pursued, that the technology works, and that programs and processes are streamlined, efficient, effective, and followed.
Responsibilities include:
- Configure and connect various technology components needed by the sales team
- Perform ongoing analysis of various team performance metrics finding patterns that lead to success and developing processes to standardize that success
- Own processes for deal assignment and deal closing
- Work with Sales Enablement to rollout training and ensure a consistent sales experience across the team
- Implementation of special incentive programs and other compensation-related programs and processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant b2b sales operations experience, preferably as a member of a larger operations team
- Ability to point to several sales tech stack projects you have successfully completed as a sales operations professional
- Be technical enough to get multiple software solutions configured and working together. You don’t need to be a programmer, but familiarity with at least one scripting or workflow language would be a good indicator of your technical experience.
- You’re a nerd? If numbers and patterns that most people don’t notice actually excite you, we’re on the right track.
- Being technically qualified for this role is the first step, but it's important to be just as engaged and interesting as everyone else is. If you have energy and passion for life, love to have fun, and find that you spend a lot of time helping other people, they want you on the team.
- Have an opinion about our sales organization and the difference you’d like to make for it. Be conscious about what’s in your brain and don't be shy about sharing it.
