We're currently looking for a Senior Sales Strategy and Operations Director who is passionate about what Vanilla is delivering to customers. You'll be working with a group of diverse designers, developers, operations managers, and attorneys, all of whom share a passion for building beautifully designed products and making complex processes user friendly.
Job Description
Vanilla is looking for a Senior Sales Strategy and Operations Director to help build and support Vanilla’s sales operations from the ground up. Success in this role means supporting the broader GTM organization in meeting its revenue goals. Projects range from highly strategic to operational and include territory design, building sales pipeline analysis and ongoing review of key performance metrics.
Responsibilities include
- Provide strategic and operational support to revenue leadership
- Drive and support new sales, expansion and renewals via organizational design, headcount allocation and prioritization, territory design, and quota balancing.
- Participate in the development and execution of annual long range planning
- Build and scale sales processes such as forecasting, territory & account planning, opportunity management, and quota attainment using Salesforce and other tools, data, and techniques.
- Manage the Sales business review process, proactively using data and insights to drive action and improvement in sales efficiency and performance.
- Implement early warning systems to help actively manage the growth of the business (i.e. qualified pipeline, funnel activity, sales performance/execution, forecasting, etc.)
- Lead discussions about weekly and monthly metrics, including leading and lagging indicators for sales pipeline, sales activities, sales execution (win rates/sales cycle)
- Maintain account and opportunity level data in our CRM to help drive forecast accuracy and success for our GTM teams
- Work closely with cross functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance and Legal to optimize sales flow and enable deal delivery
- Triage and troubleshoot operational issues and optimize processes/infrastructure/systems for scale
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in a sales operations role in a SaaS environment
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Expert in Salesforce, Excel, Google Suite, comfortable with BI Tools
- Strong data analytical skills and organizational skills
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and think through optimal solutions
- Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow-through; can own and take tasks through to completion
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, where initiatives are fluid and require constant prioritization
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
