The Revenue Operations Strategy Consultant’s primary responsibilities are:
CONSULTING
Strategy and Planning
Engage with senior executives within the customer organization
Understand and help map out their go-to-market strategy
Drive improvements across sales, marketing, and customer success
Create and maintain a living Revenue Operations Roadmap
Process
Review and identify how the organization executes their strategy
Highlight strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in process which can be improved
Articulate these findings in actionable ways via the Revenue Operations Roadmap
Insights
Translate metrics into a story
Provide context and meaning for leadership
Bring recommendations based on the data to improve revenue growth
Regularly deliver these data-driven insights to revenue leaders and executive leadership
Enablement
Identify process blockers within the customer organization
Train and onboard team members as new processes are implemented
Isolate issues preventing revenue team members from effectively and efficiently executing processes
Tools
INTERNAL
Manage Internal Revenue Operations
Build and Improve our Revenue Operations as a Service
Work with our leadership team to define, refine and build our offering
This will include everything from best practices to documentation and other assets
Influence Positioning and Marketing
Work with leadership and marketing team to define how we position ourselves to the market
Provide real, ongoing feedback and intel for marketing to use to represent our latest and greatest
Participate in live and virtual events, speaking about Revenue Operations and sharing best practices
Deliver Strategic Revenue Operations consulting to customers
Conduct upfront and quarterly RevOps Diagnostic
Build and manage Revenue Operations Roadmap
Provide relevant, meaningful, actionable, and easy-to-digest insights to leadership
Identify Key Metrics and architect systems to track them
Ensure customers have processes in place to capture activities related to metrics, execute on their strategy, and teams are educated in how to to utilize systems and processes to accomplish the goals of the business
Work with leadership to refine their Go-to-Market Strategy and Revenue Operations Roadmap based on insights delivered and changes in business
Act as Engagement Manager for each customer
Be the primary point-of-contact for customers and personally conduct customer meetings
Work with technical consultants to implement and manage tools and systems
Ensure all work, including technical work, is done for customer on time and meets expectations
Be available for customer calls during normal business hours
Consistently provide clear, concise, and timely communication with leadership and customers
Provided regular updates to leadership on status of all customer engagements
Help improve our overall offering and marketing
Experience overseeing sales, marketing, and/or customer success operations, working with customer stakeholders, driving deliverables and timelines
Deep experience extracting insights from metrics and presenting to senior leadership within an organization
Ability to tell a story and not just provide reports and metrics
Strong writing and presentation skills
Highly intelligent, detail oriented and organized
Exhibit self-direction with minimal management oversight needed
Have a desire to continue to learn and grow professionally
Willingness and ability to get on camera to create content is a strong plus
