Job Summary
A growing, multi-state outpatient healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and strategic
Chief Revenue Officer to lead all patientcare administrative and revenue cycle operations. This role is critical to scaling the company's infrastructure and performance as it prepares to double its clinic count and patient volume by 2028.
The CRO will be responsible for overseeing revenue cycle management (RCM), payer contract negotiation, EMR system implementation, and integrating AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency. This is a primarily on-site position based in Salt Lake City and offers the opportunity to work closely with an engaged, mission-driven executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all patientcare administrative and revenue cycle functions across a multi-site healthcare organization.
- Oversee billing, collections, insurance authorizations, patient intake, and payer relationship management.
- Drive strategic improvements in KPIs, including days in AR, denial rates, and collection performance.
- Lead and support the company’s Q3 transition to a new EMR platform.
- Evaluate and integrate AI innovations to improve revenue cycle operations and reduce costs.
- Negotiate payer contract pricing and reimbursement models.
- Build and mentor high-performing, values-based teams with a focus on accountability and collaboration.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align revenue strategy with company goals.
- Report regularly to board and ownership, including private equity partners.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
- Strong background in payer contracting and provider reimbursement strategy.
- Experience with EMR system conversions and implementation.
- Proven track record of leading performance-driven teams and scaling RCM operations.
- Prior experience in a private equity-backed healthcare company preferred.
- Deep understanding of RCM metrics, compliance, and payer trends.
- Must be local to Salt Lake City, UT or willing to relocate; this role requires a consistent in-office presence.
