What YOU will do:
The mission of the Manager, Supply Chain and Inventory Management, is to oversee Inventory Manager with an emphasis on demand management, inventory and supply planning automation. Areas of focus are Inventory Management and the SAP Process Ownership.
In this role, you will…
- Closely works with the Global Supply Chain team and Operations to provide the best service to our customers, while maintaining best-in-class inventory turns.
- Crucial in supporting the growth of the business and streamlining the end-to-end S&OP planning process. This requires partnership with cross-functional business, product master data & IT teams.
- Implements and works with advanced planning systems (APS) (such as SAP & GMDH Streamline) and data analytics solutions is a top priority, however the you must deliver this experience while identifying innovative business process solutions to optimize operational efficiencies for the company. This position will also manage an offshore planning support team.
- The ideal candidate is analytical, creative, IT-savvy and possesses the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects and tasks and hold meetings with different stakeholders to drive processes forward
- Manages and supports demand planning, supply planning and capacity planning for SGC products, fabric and raw materials across all its divisions and product lines
- Participates in or leads projects related to data driven supply chain optimization, planning system improvements, master data strategy, process automation
- Utilizes exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to influence business, operations and technical audiences
- Drives data and analytic-driven decision making across supply chain teams & senior leadership
- Communicates with all levels of management within the organization
- Defines, creates and reports KPIs to measure the end-to-end health of supply chain planning & operations
Inventory Management Responsibilities:
- Ultimately responsible for all aspects of HPI Inventory. This includes inventory levels, contract quantities, shortages, timely po issuing among addressing other inventory related issues as they arise.
- Acts as the main source of support for all Inventory Managers and Inventory Planners. This includes assisting on program rollouts, refreshes, spreadsheets, future rollout calculations which include size level data and being involved with closeout inventory reports and data as necessary.
- Collaborates with sourcing and inventory management teams in optimizing inventory flow to reduce risk, eliminate constraints and decrease lead times on key items
- Creates robust processes and implements industry best practices to drive forecasting accuracy and inventory control, with an objective to minimize cost and maximize customer experience
- Provide reconciled data to accounting quarterlyas part of accounting standard ASC606 revenue recognition
- Continually monitory potential finished goods and fabric for annual write off calculations. Update COO quarterly of standing.
- Gatekeeper for maintaining MRP style status integrity and inventory/forecasting related SAP data.
SAP Process Owner for Sales and Operations Planning
- Develops and champions the Sales & Operations Planning Process for SGC at corporate level
- Leads monthly planning cycles to collaborate and collect input from Category Management, Marketing, business leaders, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to adjust the forecast and reach consensus with all parties
- Manages demand forecasts for new product launches
- Work with manufacturing team to provide information on bookings by plant line to assist in setting of production quotas
- Spearheads inventory initiatives based on management decisions and/or inventory increases or decreases dependent on management directives
- With new planning software implementation, work towards:
- Increased transparency between departments
- Informed decision making about a product's demand and supply
- Improved inventory management
- Better sales and budget forecasting
- A clear understanding of a product's lifecycle and its management
- Streamlined processes that improve the overall customer experience
SAP Reporting
- Owner of many SAP reports used within your areas of supervision and also outside your areas of supervision.
- Responsible to understand those SAP reports, the logic those reports use and recognize those that use similar logic and manage those reports accordingly.
- Act as a reporting architect to spec reports for users. Work between the business and developers on new reporting, and changes in reporting.
- Responsible for testing all changes and signing off on those changes before they are approved to move into our production system.
Who YOU are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Eng., Supply Chain, Logistics and 6 years of experience in any of the following: S&OP, Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting/Demand planning, and Logistics functions, OR 10 years of experience
- Hands on exposure to ERP applications (such as SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics etc.) and Advanced Planning Systems.
- Highly Proficient in Excel, well versed in working with ERP applications and advanced planning solutions.
- Currently working with ERP and advances planning solutions
- APICS or SCM certifications a plus
- Experience working in Consumer products, Apparel, Fashion and Retail industry desirable
