The Manager of Sales Operations is responsible for developing and directing the sales data analysis function to deliver reporting and tools to sales teams and management that ensure effective sales execution and the achievement of growth objectives through accurate planning. The Manager should have solid knowledge of the overall departmental functions of the sales teams (inside, field, ecommerce, and channel sales) and has deep understanding of sales operations.
This role is also critical to overseeing the continuous improvement of sales operational processes and policies which support the organizations mission. This specifically includes but is not limited to, concise and succinct management reporting, management of information flow, business process and organizational planning. This position plays a significant role in long-term planning and is geared toward operational excellence.

The Manager of Sales Operations is a full-time position with full-time benefits. Duties & Essential Job Functions:
Deploys, manages, and administers NetSuite reporting and other systems to manage customer and activity data.
Develops, monitors, and creates methodologies to analyze sales metrics and provide insights, support decisions, and highlights areas for process improvement.
Creates saved searches and reports for sales team through NetSuite.
Creates functional strategies and specific objectives around sales analysis and forecasting and develops and recommends budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure of the sales team.
Assists in research efforts to understand market conditions and competitors.
Enables training activities that will ensure sales team understands and effectively utilizes systems and reporting resources.
Supports the VP of Sales, as well as the Senior Sales member’s in all aspects of sales reporting and project planning, including latest estimates, annual budgets and sales launches.
Analyzes performance and productivity data to support coaching/performance management efforts carried out by sales leaders.
Provides insights and data that enables sales leadership to properly allocate resources for all territory sales roles in the organization.
Extracts large data sets to forecast, models business decisions, and conducts strategic analysis to support sales pipeline management, customer acquisition, resource coverage, and customer retention efforts on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
Understands key metrics to include outside data, year over year performance and run rates in relationship to overall company goals with a bottom up approach.
Works directly with Sales Strategy & Operations leadership on business-critical reporting needs.
Assists in the development and reporting of key performance metrics to help increase sales productivity.
Assists with annual planning and monthly forecasting processes to support sales leadership team.
Manages, resolves and routes NetSuite case related issues/requests from sales associates.
Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization's planning efforts in NetSuite.
Maintains reports tracking standardized sales process, standardized KPIs, and executive dashboards.
Develops strong working relationships with Regional, Ecommerce, INT’L sales, finance, planning and ue management partners
Adapts well to change and view new experiences as growth opportunities
Decision Making Accountability:
Manages and directs the Lenexa based Facilitation Team:
Educates direct report teams to implement new/existing procedures.
Covers sales territories when needed during meetings and/or absences.
Delegates duties as needed.
Performs annual reviews for direct reports.
Approval of problem solving data or shipping related errors (freight, product replacements, etc.)
Serves as backup for Sales Service and Operations team as needed (accounts, consumers, sales territories, Ecommerce, and International customers).
Includes appropriate people in decision-making process. Preserves sensitive information in a confidential and discrete manner.
Reviews inventory levels on existing stock and works with the VP of Sales to creates and mitigate over-stock items.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree preferred, or 5-8 years in a managerial role in a sales or marketing environment.
Exceptional attention to detail & must have strong organizational abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (advanced Excel skills), preferable with 2011 suite.
Proficient with Database programs, solid experience with NetSuite preferred, inventory order processing systems preferred, not required.
Strong interpersonal skills, including, oral & written communications.
Proficient with critical analysis & problem solving.
Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Currently our Sales team is working in the office and will be transitioning to a hybrid work schedule in 2023 pending technology upgrades. This role will remain on site at least for the first 6 months of employment.
