Job Description
This role will be based in either San Francisco, Sunnyvale, New York, Chicago, or a remote home office, depending on which location the candidate approved for hire chooses.

This is a leadership position on LinkedIn's Deal Desk team. Performance expectations are high, ranging from the development of strategy, to leading change implementation, and anchored in day-to-day operations management.
The successful candidate will be comfortable leading a national team, building on the existing strong and successful culture, and ensuring high performance through active talent management and training. They will build relationships and communicate easily with senior leadership across all functions to ensure good operational discipline across the business. They will also lead strategic initiatives outside their function from time to time in line with business priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day operations of Deal Desk activities within the North America region
- Directly manage a team of Strategists, Sr. Strategists and Leads
- Collaborate and work with global Deal Desk leaders to deliver consistent and exceptional partnership to our sales organization
- Define and implement operational strategy for the team and broader group
- Identify and help implement improvements in how we partner with the sales teams
- Define career path and performance standards for Strategists, Sr. Strategists and Leads within Deal Desk team
- Coach and mentor talent within your team, helping team up-level both hard and soft skills
- Review and define long term talent strategy for the Deal Desk team and business
- Engage with leadership on all cross-functional teams to ensure operational performance and activities are aligned to the strategic priorities of the business
- Advocate for the Deal Desk team and help build and improve the brand of the team
Additional responsibilities:
- Coach and manage your team through the complexities of LinkedIn’s end-to-end processes across OTC and build strong partnerships with leadership within other cross-functional teams
- Manage day to day escalations that may arise through teams and present both short term and long-term solutions to resolve the root cause of these issues to the business
- Potential to engage directly with clients through both written and verbal communications, helping to resolve OTC issues directly
- Coach team members on how to provide excellent support to sales and potentially directly to clients through ongoing soft skill training on both scheduled and ad-hoc basis
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years work experience with Order Management, Operations, Consulting, or Pricing
- 2+ years of direct people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Natural problem-solver: comfortable with data and ambiguity; able to both delve into the details and operational tactics, and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy
- Proactive and passionate about results: independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources and delivering results in challenging situations
- Leadership: strong team leadership and project management skills and ability to mobilize teams towards a common goal
- Initiative and ownership: ability to act with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities
- High-energy, team-first attitude: motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business
- Effective communications: excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations
- Executive presence: experience working closely with senior executives to solve challenging business problems; Ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership

The pay range for this role is [$98,000 to $150,000]. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
