Job Type: Full-Time | Executive Leadership
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Private Equity

About the Company:
We are a fast-growing company at the intersection of critical mineral extraction and next-generation nuclear energy. Positioned for rapid scale, our company is preparing for a NASDAQ IPO and plays a strategic role in enabling U.S. energy independence and clean technology. Backed by a leading private equity sponsor, we are seeking a mission-driven, hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all aspects of finance during this high-growth, pre-IPO phase and beyond.
Role Overview:
The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and execution required to scale the company and navigate the path to a successful IPO. This role requires deep experience with pre-IPO financial readiness, SEC/NASDAQ compliance, investor relations, and private equity reporting. The ideal candidate has operated in highly regulated, capital-intensive industries — ideally nuclear energy, clean tech, or natural resources — and is comfortable balancing strategic priorities with operational detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial operations including accounting, FP&A, audit, tax, treasury, and investor reporting.
- Drive IPO readiness initiatives including financial audits, SEC/NASDAQ reporting, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison to the private equity sponsor, delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting and insight.
- Build robust board and investor reporting packages, and support governance and capital structure initiatives.
- Partner with CEO and Board on equity raises, debt structuring, M&A, and long-term capital strategy.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with strategic and operational goals.
- Establish and optimize financial systems, controls, and processes to support scalability and compliance.
- Recruit and develop a high-performance finance and accounting team.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including CFO or senior finance roles in growth-stage, capital-intensive environments.
- Strong experience working with and reporting to private equity firms is required.
- Proven track record in NASDAQ IPO preparation and execution.
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX readiness, and compliance for public companies.
- CPA required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- Background in nuclear energy, critical minerals, advanced materials, or clean technology is a significant plus.
- Experience managing investor relations, board communications, and complex capital structures.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities.
Location & Travel:
Based in New York City or Miami, FL, with periodic travel to operational sites, board meetings, and investor engagements.
Compensation:
Competitive executive compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, and long-term equity incentives.
