Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Summary:The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategic financial planning, risk management, and corporate governance of The SCM Silk. The role requires a strong leader with deep expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, cost control, and compliance—ensuring the company’s financial health supports its long-term business goals in the textile and apparel supply chain industry.
Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Financial Management- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s vision and growth plans.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the MD and senior management based on financial analysis and projections.
2. Financial Operations & Control- Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control systems.
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables to ensure optimal liquidity and working capital.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of MIS, P&L, and balance sheet reports.
3. Compliance & Governance- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other financial regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government bodies for audits and regulatory filings.
- Implement robust risk management and internal control frameworks.
4. Cost & Profitability Management- Drive cost optimization across operations, procurement, and production processes.
- Conduct profitability analysis by division, project, or product line.
- Oversee pricing strategies and financial feasibility for new business initiatives.
5. Leadership & Team Management- Lead and mentor the Finance, Accounts, and Audit teams.
- Establish a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, SCM, and Project teams for financial alignment.
6. Banking & Investor Relations- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
- Oversee fund management, loan documentation, and treasury operations.
- Support fund-raising and capital allocation decisions as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (ICWA) mandatory.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing, textile, or supply chain industries preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of financial laws, taxation, and corporate governance.
- Expertise in ERP / financial systems (SAP, Tally, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
