The Head of Commercial & Sales Operations will play a pivotal role in developing sales strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market plans that enhance market share and profitability. This is a highly visible leadership role, ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives on data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
The Head of Commercial & Sales Operations will:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets
- Design and optimise commercial propositions, pricing models and product offers
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead the development of analytical capabilities, leveraging data to inform strategy, forecasting, and customer insights
- Optimise sales processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity across channels
- Oversee sales compensation and incentive plans that align with business objectives
- Manage and enhance CRM and reporting systems (Salesforce and Power BI) to ensure data accuracy and usability
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
The Head of Commercial & Sales Operations will:
- Proven senior-level commercial leadership experience, ideally within a b2b service e.g. telco or utilities, but plenty of other examples
- Proven success in leading teams and delivering measurable results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis and reporting
- Ideally proficiency with CRM and data visualisation tools (e.g. Salesforce, Power BI)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across functions
- Experience working across multiple sales channels and customer segments
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Could come from roles like Commercial Director, Head of Propositions, Head of Sales Operations, etc.

The role is based in the West Midlands 2 days a week, but a lot of employees live in different parts of the UK as any travel & accommodation needed is paid for by the company.
