Centric Software is seeking an experienced Manager, Sales and Operations who will be responsible as a working manager, managing the global order management administration and billing for Centric. This is a cross functional position which will assist in bringing efficiencies to workflow and will support Centric’s Sales and Revenue Accounting teams. This position will also support Sales Managers, Sales Staff, Finance Staff and act a liaison between Account Executives and clients when needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage a global team focused on order management and billing, including various sales support
- Review sales contracts in accordance with legal and sales policies
- Enter sales contracts by product into SalesForce.com, including calculating order discounts, terms, etc.
- Work with provisioning teams to ensure licenses and services are delivered and billed
- Analyze sales contracts to determine incentives earned for sales commissions and bonuses
- Maintain customer information and run monthly license, opportunity, forecasting reports
- Run renewal reports to ensure all auto-renewals are billed timely
- Collaborate with finance team on managing customer payments and AR collection process
- Create invoices in NetSuite, based on customer sales order information
- Audit billing data against customer contract information for accuracy
- Triage/respond to customer inquiries, including invoice disputes, statement of account, and payment information
- Liaise with subsidiary and local accountants to ensure timely delivery of HQ invoices and recording of VAT data
- Prepare account reconciliations for Centric’s customers as needed
- Collaborate with Centric Project Directors to manage customer project’s budgets, resource planning and profitability
- Collaborate with customers, accounting, revenue recognition, subsidiaries to resolve billing inconsistencies or errors
- Liaise with Centric team members on backlog balances
- Proactively reach out to various business units within the Company to ensure proper understanding of Centric Software’s deliverables and obligations to properly account for contract terms.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of sales operations or order management in a software environment
- 2+ years working in deal desks within the software domain
- Salesforce and Netsuite proficiency
- Comfortable working in a fast changing, fast-paced environment across numerous time zones
- Detailed oriented and comfortable working with numbers, Excel and MS Office
- Leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and ability to identify areas for improvement
- Ability to identify areas for improvement in existing processes, a strong plus
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic software revenue recognition subject matter knowledge a plus
