Fortell Research is a medical device company (specific domain still in stealth) that builds high tech products at the intersection of AI and custom silicon. We are based in NY and backed by Thrive Capital (Instagram, Stripe, OpenAI, etc.), Founders Fund (Palantir, SpaceX, AirBnB, etc) and Valor Equity Partners (Tesla, Neuralink, EightSleep, etc.).
After years of technical development, we are launching our first product this year and growing the business operations team to support our next phase of scaling.
About the role
We are looking for an operations generalist to keep the business on track. As a fast growing startup, we expect everyone to wear many hats, and this role is no exception. You’ll handle a variety of operational responsibilities, spanning finance, office, people and product. You’ll design new systems to help us scale.
Responsibilities
- Financial operations: Accounts payable and expense management.
- Office management: Manage our office space, keeping it organized (we have private office space within a WeWork, so facilities are outsourced).
- People operations: Onboarding for new hires, planning company events, etc.
- Administrative support: Keep our systems and documents organized and reliable. Handle sensitive documents with discretion.
- Process improvement: Develop and launch new processes to help the business run smoothly.
About you
- 2+ years of work experience in a fast-paced environment. Startup experience a plus.
- You’re highly reliable and organized. You make order out of chaos.
- You’re practical and creative. You figure things out.
- You have an ownership mentality
- You can handle basic analytics with confidence
