Role Overview
The organisation is seeking a strategic, commercially minded and operationally strong Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team. This individual will be responsible for shaping the financial strategy, driving operational scale, and preparing the business for future investment, M&A activity and international growth.
The ideal candidate has experience in high-growth technology services environments, understands the financial model behind consulting and platform delivery, and has a track record of supporting scaling businesses through transformation, investment cycles and inorganic growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and board to define and execute long-term growth strategy
- Lead financial planning, forecasting and budgeting in support of commercial objectives
- Support new market entry, service expansion and strategic investment decisions
Financial Operations
- Lead all financial functions including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax and compliance
- Implement scalable processes, systems and reporting to support rapid expansion
- Deliver timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting
M&A and Funding Readiness
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation and post-acquisition integration
- Prepare the business for private equity or strategic investment options
- Develop investor-ready models, board packs and commercial analysis
Risk, Governance & Control
- Maintain strong internal controls and risk frameworks across multiple jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit and governance standards
- Build and manage external advisor and audit relationships
Team & Culture
- Build, develop and mentor a high-performing finance function
- Foster an accountable, transparent and high-integrity culture
- Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a scaling IT services or software-led business
- Experience preparing organisations for private equity or strategic investment
- Hands-on involvement in M&A transactions and integration
- Strong understanding of SaaS, services-based and project-driven commercial models
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
Desirable
- Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions
- Familiarity with modern finance systems and automation tooling
- Exposure to ESG and sustainability reporting
