The role is responsible for leading and overseeing seafood distribution operations to ensure business growth, operational excellence, and workforce effectiveness. This includes driving seafood sales and market expansion, managing daily distribution center performance, optimizing inventory and costs, and fostering a high-performing team culture. The position collaborates closely with cross-functional departments to align operational strategies with overall business goals and ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability across the seafood division.
Responsibilities
- Drive seafood business growth through strategic sales initiatives, key account management, and market expansion.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with restaurants, distributors, and retail partners.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute pricing, promotion, and marketing strategies to enhance market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with Procurement to ensure product quality, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to guide business decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Marketing to align strategies and support company goals.
- Lead contract negotiations, resolve customer issues, and ensure smooth communication across departments.
- Provide sales forecasts and performance reports to management for planning and decision-making.
- Support operational excellence by coordinating with distribution and logistics teams when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, ideally in the seafood, foodservice, or distribution industry.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Business acumen with the ability to analyze data and develop actionable strategies.
- Knowledge of warehouse or logistics operations preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin required.
- Ability to travel frequently within the U.S. (by car or plane).
Work Conditions
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to warehouse or customer sites.
- Periods of standing, sitting, and computer work throughout the day.
- May require wearing appropriate PPE when visiting operational areas.
- Frequent communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
