The Context
This position is located within our Global Sales and part of the NXP Digital transformation program. Digital transformation is powerful, multi-year initiative across people, processes and systems that will become a major pillar of our long-term profitable growth strategy, accelerate operational excellence in the way we do business, and reshape NXP.
The focus of this position will be in the interaction of three separated programs:
- Integrated Business Planning (IBP) redesign. To better anticipate and capture market opportunities, our IBP redesign project is focused on
1) Short-term, key supply chain process improvements to help respond to the current supply crisis
2) Preparing for the future implementation of a fully integrated business planning process, including customer collaboration and virtual selling initiatives, demand and supply management, as well as financial planning
- Enterprise data initiative. Our enterprise data initiative aims to create a data-driven culture by:
1) Providing a solid data foundation for the migration to SAP S/4HANA and our IBP redesign project and
2) Enabling cross-functional access to real-time predictive analytics, while facilitating the use of the newest technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML)
- Migration to SAP S/4HANA. As part of our Digital Transformation, we are upgrading NXP ERP to its latest digital version, SAP S/4HANA. Through this project, we will simplify, harmonize and standardize our key business processes to facilitate cross-collaboration while benefiting from a modern and efficient user interface, task automation and real-time insights.
The Responsibilities
Reporting to Sales Operations Senior Director of Process improvement and Business Intelligence, the principal will support digital transformation activities for sales and customer supply chain. Current activities involve analytical assessment of the sales planning processes and customer service and associated data dependencies. As next steps of NXP digital transformation are defined, there is a clear path towards helping guide the best architecture and tool selection fit for purpose. This is a high impact position that will regularly report out to SVP of sales operations. Ultimately, these contributions will have essential role to help gain efficiency and drive additional scale and growth.
The Requirements
- 12+ years of experience with a career path that combines both planning and data management expertise: enterprise data warehousing; business intelligence or reporting analytics, machine learning and digital transformation projects.
- Earlier experience developing & analyzing SQL based queries and worked with relational databases like Oracle, SAP etc
- Earlier experience working in supply-chain, order management or design-in processes & related tools
- Experience working with Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms such us Dataiku or Alteryx
- Ideal candidate would have hands on experience leading a project of data science transformation
- Analytical skills, team player and sense of responsibility
- Able to communicate to SVP leaders, translating technical requirements into relevant business impact metrics
