About the Role
The GTM Strategy & Planning team plays a critical role in helping shape and execute on Lyra’s go-to-market strategy and driving revenue growth. The Deal Desk Lead will be responsible for defining standard deal procedures, providing analytical and process support to complex, non-standard deals, and facilitating approvals from the respective decision-makers. This role will partner with teams across the company including Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal, so experience building strong cross-functional relationships is a must.
Sample projects include developing detailed approval matrices and process flows, working on custom pricing and discount proposals, financial modeling to support decision making, and supporting our growing sales and customer success teams while ensuring business and legal terms are aligned with company policy.

Partner with the Sales and Customer Success organizations to review large, complex, non-standard requests by applying pricing knowledge and analytical rigor to provide guidance on pricing, discounting, and contract terms

Establish and apply best-practice methodologies to develop and scale the Deal Desk through process automation and improved process efficiencies

Proactively guide deals through internal processes to ensure timely delivery of all needed documentation and approvals

Improve sales velocity by ensuring good collaboration with cross-functional teams including Rev Ops, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Product teams

Support maintenance and improvements of Salesforce Cases to streamline intake and approval processes

Perform and manage a variety of day-to-day and ongoing projects relating to sales and business efficiency

Shepherd new deals and renewals through the sales cycle and internal approval process in collaboration with the appropriate cross-functional teams

Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, finance or other relevant/quantitative disciplines

5+ years of revenue strategy, deal desk, sales operations, or sales consulting experience

Ability to influence Sales teams and build strong collaborative relationships across multiple functions

Ability to listen to the needs of the business, problem-solve to find quality solutions aligned with our GTM strategy, and escalate as needed

Proficiency in prioritizing and managing multiple concurrent deliverables for different end users

Self-motivated and the ability to show initiative and follow through on tasks and assignments

The ability to work with Revenue Accounting & Legal to understand our revenue guidelines and ensure deals are structured accordingly

Strong verbal and written skills and a demonstrated ability to summarize and translate complex needs of the field for various audiences

Prior experience leading a Deal Desk

Salesforce and CPQ experience strongly preferred

Experience with B2B or B2B2C products & solutions

Background in healthcare or benefits strategy
