As a member of the leadership team, the Director of Revenue Operations and Analytics enables the growth of the company by improving its efficiency and effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with our Salesforce Administrators and Developers, as well as our Marketing Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to optimize strategies, processes, systems, and talent, that will accelerate Panopto into its next phase of growth. You will be a trusted partner and strategic advisor to your team. You will also ensure that we have a high-performing ecosystem of business tools and processes enabling customer-facing teams to accelerate new revenue generation, deliver best-in-class customer service, provide critical business information to the company, and derive business insights.
About the Role
In this role, the Director of Rev Ops reports directly to the VP of Worldwide Sales and will lead the CRM team which is responsible for our business tech stack. This role will have accountability for designing a larger team than we currently have, ensuring we continue to manage tech debt as well as proactively support and meet the needs of our rapidly growing internal customers. The Director of Rev Ops also:
- Regularly assess the tech stack to ensure we have the right tools to drive business growth, ensuring our systems are architected for flexibility and growth
- Owns complex, critical revenue operations systems and tools used cross-functionally that require expert administration (including Salesforce, Marketo, Outreach, and other integrated systems)
- Implements processes that provide transparency of project schedule and delivery, as well as transparency around user support requests through proactive customer communication
- Develops a team accountable for partnering with internal teams while managing project intake, planning, and delivery
- Stays closely involved with high stake projects related to company objectives and key results, coaching team members, and rolling up their sleeves to contribute to projects that require additional support and expertise
- Manages a budget for all revenue operations tools and negotiates contracts and licensing agreements, ensuring we are ahead of critical changes.
- Designs a data analytics function to train users on reporting, align data between departments, and deliver valuable insights to business stakeholders
- Communicates regularly with leaders of all internal customer departments, understanding their needs and pain points. Assesses business priorities and maintains a roadmap based on scoped projects, with reliable delivery timelines
About You
You have extensive experience directing and developing teams that are data and process driven. You enjoy identifying and implementing new ways to streamline business processes and you’re passionate about building dependable systems for managing and leveraging data. You don’t have to check all of the boxes, but these are some of the skills and experiences we think are important for this role:
- Demonstrated experience in hiring, retaining and scaling diverse, geographically dispersed, successful teams
- Extensive experience with Salesforce.com. Advanced Admin / Developer certification is preferred but not required
- Experience with integrated tools such as Marketo, Outreach, Salesforce CPQ, SpringCM/ CLM, Docusign tools preferred but not required
- Analytics experience; proficient in asking questions to assess the quality and value of a dataset and data analyses and well versed in Tableau and / or other BI tools
- Experience continuously seeking input from and communicating effectively with Sales, Customer Support, and other audiences
- Experience working on a team with a well defined product planning and change management process (Agile Scrum experience is preferred)
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to evaluate data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
- Well-rounded communication skills required to align a range of stakeholders on priorities, timing, and output
Total Rewards
In the spirit of pay transparency, Panopto is excited to share the salary range for this position which is $120,000- $156,000 USD per year. This salary range may include multiple levels. Your level is based on our assessment of your interview performance, skills, experience, and/or location. Salary is just one component of Panopto’s total compensation package for employees.
