Sales Operations:the team that handles the non-selling tasks inherent in the sales process. Current structure: Sales Analysts, a Sales Coordinator and the Customer Experience division. This focus of this team includes generating leads, outlining sales territories, setting up incentive programs, managing sales analytics, and implementing enhanced metrics/scorecards to over-serve our key customers. The Sales Operations Manager, will be a player/coach, leading a team responsible for managing internal inventory allocations, collecting internal sales data, proactively analyzing critical trends, and presenting those trends to the sales organization with proposed directional changes. Opportunity to play a significant role in developing the sales reporting process by creating new tools, metrics, and methodologies that will improve our understanding of the business.
Job Summary:Manages operational processes meant to improve the efficiency of the sales force. General Sales Operations/Administration work is focused on sales analysis and reporting and includes: •Selecting, managing, and training sales staff on sales related systems, databases, and associated processes •Order processing and customer support including advising customers of product shortages, expected delivery dates, price changes, etc. •Organizing sales seminars and workshops for customers •Managing inventory of sales literature and brochures •Conducting competitor research and maintaining a library of competitor information •Preparing reports related to customer inquiries, sales trends, customer complaints, delivery/service problems, reasons for product returns, etc. As a manager, this key role will manage professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises large, complex technical or business support or production operations team(s)

Job Duties:Oversees existing applications related to sales force operations or automation. Develops quote to order processes meant to improve efficiency and increase customer satisfaction. Builds reports detailing pipelines, forecasts, efficiency, quota attainment, or other sales metrics. Assists in territory planning by analyzing territory potential. May assist with sales incentive program administration.
Experience and Education: - Extensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles
- Performs sophisticated tasks and builds established processes to standardize the tools/processes of sales
- Passionate about the development and implementation of established policies and procedures
- Ability to lead through influence with input on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change
- Bachelor's Degree in business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience
- Prior experience leading a diverse team of professionals including leadership of various career levels

Education and Experience/Skills:The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college with a BA/BS in a business/economic/finance/engineering or relevant technical field (advanced degree preferred but not required) and five plus years of related experience. Highly developed business acumen and strategic agility required. Must be able to deal with ambiguity while creatively solving problems. This person must possess highly developed communication skills, including the ability to articulate a vision at all levels of the organization. Must possess expert level proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint. The individual in this role must have the ability to analyze and interpret data from various sources and apply it to business needs at BMC. It is critical to have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
