Chief Revenue Officer, Partner Revenue
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is a senior role within the organization reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The CRO is accountable for revenue generation for Financial Institutions, Associations, and Partners in North America; developing and executing revenue management and marketing strategies that maximize customer lifetime value across Elavon’s geographical footprint.
Focused on our tech-led initiatives and a critical growth area for our business, this group will work with key partners across payments. This group includes our Financial Institutions, ISV, ISO/MSP, and Associations teams, and our vital sales support functions including Go-To-Market, Revenue Optimization, Marketing, and Learning and Development.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute revenue management strategies for all geographies, channels, and segments, driving meaningful growth on a customer base that generates more than $1.6 billion in annual merchant services revenue.
- Define and implement processes that ensure predictable, repeatable, and scalable sales, expansion and renewal outputs to meet revenue growth targets
- Maximize new business generation, customer growth, customer retention, product depth, and customer lifetime value.
- Maximize value derived from current vertical / industry strengths (Airlines, Hospitality, Healthcare, Government / Public Sector, Retail, Services), and develop new vertical / industry strengths
- Manages the P&L to drive financial growth with direct ownership of the financial health & performance of the operation.
- Direct accountability for revenue generation for Financial Institutions, Associations, and Partners in North America; hold indirect accountability for revenue generation for the U.S. Bank distribution channel and for all channels in Europe
- Enable and inspire leaders to the highest standards of execution, problem solving and sound decision making while setting a clear team vision.
- Drive engagement and performance through hands-on leadership, coaching, performance management programs, engagement programs. Builds, attracts, inspires, and develops diverse and high-performing teams.
- Responsible for the marketing function, developing marketing strategies and plans, managing marketing campaigns, managing internal and external communications, and managing employee engagement across the enterprise.
- Serve as a member of Elavon’s Senior Leadership team, contributing to strategy development and to the management of the business unit
Qualifications
- 15+ years of well-rounded business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility; financial industry preferred, global experience preferred
- 8+ years of management/leadership experience
- Demonstrated team building experience, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements concurrently
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills with clear, concise and persuasive communication style that compels action
- Ability to lead impactful, cross-functional teams
- Extensive experience with channel partners, service providers, or end-customer dynamics in a rapidly evolving environment
- Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals and give insight on industry trends with strong knowledge of the marketplace and the footprint within which we operate.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while maintaining high levels of operational rigor, digital acumen, and business excellence.
- Excellent political savvy and business acumen to work in a matrixed environment with an understanding of how to navigate the organization to clear obstacles and achieve business goals
- Excellent knowledge of the tools and methodologies of business development
- Proven ability to take balanced risks
- Degree in Business, or related field
- MBA, or advanced degree strongly preferred
