Chief Revenue Officer
Astrolab is looking for a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to oversee the development and implementation of revenue producing opportunities and processes as well as developing, implementing, and forecasting strategic sales and marketing plans. In this capacity, the CRO will work with company leaders to identify strategic revenue opportunities that will increase market share and profitability.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about our company's mission and will be a self-starter able to execute and implement change, strategic, highly analytical and metrics driven. Serving as a key member of the leadership team, the CRO will be a significant contributor to our culture and will hold a crucial role in management and leadership.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a start-up environment and have a successful track record of developing and implementing new GTM products.
Responsibilities:
- Own the go-to-market strategy for product and pricing
- Open up new paths to revenue and build the machinery to us there
- Define and execute a long-term strategy that ensures predictable, repeatable, and scalable results to grow company revenue streams
- Drive revenue growth through direct sales of payload services
- Provide leadership, operational directions, and accountability to the teams responsible for revenue generation and execution: sales, marketing, customer success and professional services Inspire and drive performance of the sales team and all revenue-driving teams to meet or exceed goals
- Drive integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, career development, coaching and mentoring of revenue generating teams
- Partner with marketing to develop and execute a multi-faceted brand building and lead generation strategy across web, social/digital, trade conferences, speaking events and other initiatives
- Instill a customer-centric culture across all the sales and revenue teams
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, senior level sales, corporate strategy, or other revenue generating department
- Experience managing a team
- Experience implementing and scaling revenue operations
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the space technology industry
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets
- Strong network across clients and agencies, including with decision makers
- Strong relationships with senior level marketers and agency decision makers
- Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and other teams to build innovative advertising offerings
- Deep understanding of major tech and competitive trends shaping industry
- Unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character
- Expert communicator and presenter
Benefits and Compensation:
- Base salary range: 130,000–220,000 (commensurate with skills and experience)
