THE ROLE
We are looking to add a Sales Operations Manager to our Sales team. This brand new role will be responsible for managing and executing on our customer invoicing process as well as preparing and overseeing Request for Proposals (RFPs) or Request for Information (RFIs) for existing and prospective customers (pharmaceutical companies), and addressing any special customer requests related to billing.
The ideal candidate will have prior complex invoicing experience, exceptional attention to detail, a passion for initiating and driving continuous process improvements and exceptional customer service and time management skills.
This is an individual contributor role with the potential to grow into a team lead for our Sales Ops department over time. The Sales Ops Manager will report to the VP of Sales.
💊 Responsibilities
Ownership and administration of our customer invoicing process and all related activities to include:
- Creating and submitting detailed invoices in a timely fashion through various channels (e.g. e-mail, customer web portals, etc…)
- Ensure all invoices are compliant and accurate according to the Customer’s individual contract terms and conditions
- Troubleshooting billing issues and resolving discrepancies with our internal/external stakeholders in a timely manner
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with our customer’s finance, accounts receivable, and procurement teams
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail in a high volume setting
Preparation and review of contracts (RFP and RFI)
- Collaborate with the Sales team to prepare first drafts of RFI/RFPs, review with Sales Team and complete final, submission ready documents
- Organize and maintain contract records
💊 Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance/Accounting, or related field
- A minimum 2+ years experience in a Sales Operations role with complex invoicing
- Excellent administrative, organizational, interpersonal skills
- Great time management skills
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Basic understanding of revenue recognition accounting principles
- Experience with the following tools a plus: Salesforce, Notion, Slack, G Suite, Ariba (or other similar system)
