Job Description
IFS’s Deal Desk is the key operation that supports the Sales organization with all aspects of the Quote to Close process cycle by supporting a sales transaction from pricing a quote through to a contract signature. Deal Desk Analyst is a business partner and trusted advisor to Sales to ensure that all requirements within the Quote to Close Process are achieved with the best efficiency and speed possible. They are the first line for the administration of all the documentation required to execute a software license transaction, ensuring that revenue on a customer-signed agreement is optimized as the best possible transaction for both the Customer and IFS and that revenue can be booked successfully.
Responsibilities include:
- Administer Deal Desk functions including, but not limited to: contract research, validation of price quotes, business approvals, contract/order form drafting, and order structuring requests for perpetual and subscription software add-on sales.
- Collaborate and build proactive, positive relationships with peers, managers, sales, legal and finance to ensure consistency within processes.
- Ensure compliance with published sales and business approval policies through the IFS Deal Approval Request system and process.
- Serve as a backup for the Order Processing Lead
- Be a sales advocate & partner to internal organizations to understand complex sales issues
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic MS Excel skills useful
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience required
- 0-7 years of contract creation experience (pricing experience a plus)
- Sales/business operations experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- CRM and software delivery provisioning experience a plus
- Must be a self-starter and highly analytical
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to work well with field sales, various levels of operations approvers, and various finance teams
- Must be able to function as part of a team and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
- An ability to operate independently with limited direction/supervision
- Accurately execute multiple tasks including the ability to extract data from different sources and create meaningful analyses and business summaries.
