Title: Sr. Manager, Global Deal Desk
NETSCOUT is looking to hire a new Sr. Manager, Global Deal Desk team. This is an add to staff position and will interface with Sales Executives, Sales Operations and Technical Accounting departments and do deal reviews, revenue forecasting and other financial reporting and analytical duties.
Description: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Global Sales organization to optimize deal structures in accordance with current FASB and SEC guidance and the Company’s revenue objectives. Attend Sales forecast calls and conduct deal review discussions to ensure a complete understanding of all elements of customer transactions. Timely communicate nonstandard terms and key transaction details to the Corporate Accounting team to ensure the accuracy of our financial results. Collaborate with Legal in the review of contracts and transaction documentation. Partner with Sales Operations, Manufacturing and other internal functions on transaction-related requirements. Identify and manage escalations and internal objections related to pricing and other commercial terms. Develop and deliver revenue-related training. Assist in the revenue forecast process.
Supervision Required: Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Interaction: Regularly interacts with senior management levels. Requires the ability to change the thinking of/gain acceptance from others.
Discretion: Good judgment and motivation to enforce the Company’s Code of Conduct, Revenue Recognition and other policies.
Job Complexity: Understanding of revenue guidance as it relates to multiple element arrangements, future functionality and other complex accounting requirements. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to summarize and present complex revenue transactions to cross-functional teams. Highly organized, innovative and strong attention to detail. Sense of urgency to serve the customer balanced with a maturity to maintain established processes and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Understanding of revenue guidance as it relates to bundling multiple elements, future functionality and other complex accounting requirements
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to summarize and present complex revenue transactions to cross-functional teams
Good judgment and motivation to enforce the Company’s Code of Conduct, Revenue Recognition and other policies
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Locations: Boston / New England area. 100% remote okay with travel to corporate office for meetings
