Job Title: Sales Operations Analyst
Multiple Locations Available: Des Plaines, IL (Hybrid after 90 days)
- Must reside in commutable distance of Des Plaines, IL. (Position will go Hybrid, with 3 days / week required in the Office, after 90 days)
Skills: Provide support to sales team with RFQs, RFPs, and physical quote generation, input quote through customer portals, Enthusiasm and drive (soft skills)
Summary
The Sales Operations Analyst will lead the functions of customer quotation, price management, and forecasting. The role supports all customers within the North America and Japan region. The individual will develop, own, and execute on all associated processes related to quotation, price management, heads the functions of customer demand and sales forecasting, competitive and market intelligence, and MQ1 (Quality Management) systems.
Experience/Background/Skills
- Generate customer quotations and provide them to the account management team within 7 days of request
- Improve current quotation process that simplifies reporting outputs while providing a clear quotation estimate
- Maintain database of pricing history that informs account management team on market pricing, given company's current customers and product specifications. Support of cost and price negotiations with customers
- Support and provide guidance to company's procurement team on bill of material component price quotations
- Provide support to sales team with RFQs, RFPs, and physical quote generation, input quote through customer portals
- Proactively provide recommendations and guidance to the account management team on pricing actions to improve gross margin
- Improve current forecast process by redesigning current process to be more efficient while providing necessary report outputs to management, finance, procurement, and manufacturing
- Provide forecast update bi-weekly, update forecast in KBM
- Monitor customer shipments with customer service, provide update to sales and management
- Create and maintain a solid and reliable process to generate a competitive intelligence database and competitor insight. Provide this insight in report form to senior leadership, sales management, and the account management team
- Create and manipulate large data sets then apply rigorous analysis and critical thinking that drives insight, which could lead to commercial action
- Lead commercial responsibilities in MQ1
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or Economics
- 5 years sales operations or business analytics experience
- Excellent communication and analytical skills required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong relationship and organizational skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
