Role Purpose Statement
The Sales Analyst is responsible for providing proactive analysis to North American Sales channel leaders who are responsible for implementing the sales organizations objectives and goals. Reporting to the Sales Enablement and Operations manager, this role acts as a trusted advisor to the sales leadership team, detecting emerging trends, analyzing margins, and looking for opportunities as well as identifying challenges to realizing greater sales and increased margins. The analyst will partner with and support Sales Leaders, Sales Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, and marketing by managing data and data sources as well as preparing cadenced reports on key metrics. This role in collaboration with FP&A, will lead the annual Business Planning process with the sales team and work with the sellers to increase ongoing forecast accuracy.
Main Accountabilities

Sales Analytics: Provide Sales trends and Data Insights and reporting to Sales Leadership

Monthly Reporting and associated analysis of data with insights on drivers for gains and loses

Value Add Product analysis

Work with Marketing team to identify and provide trend analysis by sales channel

Business Plan and Forecast Attainment Performance: Managing the Business Plan process with Sales and FP&A. Analyze forecast attainment to improve performance with sales team.

Data Governance on Sales Hierarchy / Seller Assignments, IBC Data/ ABC Segmentation in SAP – assist in segmentation, reporting and data management of the end user data and improve data quality

Customer Profitability Analysis – identifying trends in margin, trade spend and performance penalties to including investigating causes for unexpected results
