Job Summary
- The Supply Chain Manager will lead, coach, and develop a professional customer-facing team, while gaining valuable in-depth experience in the rapidly growing Lubrizol Life Science contract manufacturing business. Lubrizol Corona has one of the most diverse, global, interconnected supply chain networks within Lubrizol, with customers globally and Corona being the exclusive site producing thermoplastic medical device components.
Job Scope
- Serve to lead the procurement of raw materials and equipment at the Corona Medical Device Plant
- Accountability for supply chain performance and deliverables to customers worldwide
- Serve as the premier partner for the leadership team in Corona in improving customer experience and cost-to-serve for thermoplastic contract manufacturing
- Provide leadership to strengthen Corona’s value proposition by identifying opportunities to make it easier for customers to do business with us
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members in supply planning, inventory management and customer service
- Collaborate closely with the Operations team to drive transportation and warehousing strategies, cost and delivery performance for Corona.
- Build systems to utilize MRP for predictive ordering and allocation.
- Provide timely and high-quality response to requests and feedback from internal and external customers
- Drive continuous improvement of the value and quality of Corona’s supply chain services by collaborating with the relevant cross-functional partners
Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
- Drive a culture of safety, reliability, efficiency, and superior customer experience
- Coach and develop the team to elevate the knowledge of supply chain management, use of standard tools, processes, data, and analytics to make the best decision
- Embrace and drive Sales and Operations Planning: design and implement supply chain strategies that are closely aligned and integrated with Corona and contract manufacturing operations and business strategies
- Collaborate closely with the commercial team and operations partner functions to drive customer experience metrics and cost-to-serve targets
- Lead and manage supply chain processes that drive key performance indicators while promoting a customer-focused culture
- Manage the effective and efficient delivery of Corona’s products to warehouses, distributors, and end customers within established standard lead times
- Manage inventory optimization and inventory control processes, including Non-Working Slow Moving (NWSM) inventory
- Reduce Corona’s exposure to supply chain risks through the recognition of trends, root cause analysis, and the implementation of preventive measures
- When appropriate, review and follow-up on non-conformities, especially customer complaints, to ensure timely resolution, in partnership with Quality and other relevant functions
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations
- Use reports and develop compelling analyses to support supply chain strategies and business decisions
- Drive special projects, as needed, to help Engineered Polymers achieve improved customer satisfaction while minimizing waste and managing the cost-to-serve
- Work efficiently and effectively with the global sales team accountable for Corona’s business continuity and growth

Requirements – Education, Experience, Skills
- Degree in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering, supply chain, chemistry, business etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar business domain
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading people
- Proven analytical skills, especially in the supply chain domain
- ERP Experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QAD)
- Passion for excellence and continuous improvement
- Strong service-orientation and focus on customers
- Persistence and discipline, with a drive for results
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Process orientation
- Strong financial acumen

- Experience working with global teams in multinational companies
