Sales Operations Specialist
MetaSystems Group Inc is currently seeking a full-time Sales Operations Specialist to join their team in their Boston, MA 02155 location.
About the role:
The Sales Operations Specialist role is a dynamic position, working cooperatively within the Sales and Operations teams. S/he will primarily provide administrative support to the Sales team, while also working closely with the Operations and Applications & Support teams. The Sales Operations Specialist plays an important role in ensuring customer satisfaction through the accuracy and efficiency of their work. They often act as a liaison on behalf of the sales team and customers when dealing with other departments to ensure customers’ needs and demands are being met.
What you'll do:
•Receiving and distributing sales inquiries collected via the Sales@ and Info@ company email addresses
•Creating and updating Opportunities and Quotation Requests in the CRM
•Assists in the creation and submission of customer proposals
•Assisting with quotation follow up
•Working with the Marketing Coordinator to facilitate email campaigns
•Assisting with the preparation of materials for tradeshows or in-house demonstrations or meetings
•Coordinating with Operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled correctly and there is appropriate communication between Sales, Operations and the customer
•Handles a wide variety of situations and conflicts by effectively communicating the needs and concerns of the customer which may require escalation when appropriate
•Provides sales telephone queue coverage by screening incoming telephone calls and answering customer inquiries on pricing, product lead times, delivery status, and any shipping or service issues related to orders
Collaborative duties & responsibilities:
•Provide general office support as needed, including shipping/receiving trade show materials, answering phones, order fulfillment, etc. during vacation, extended absences, or during periods of high order volume
Our ideal candidate:
Education and Experience
•College degree preferred
•3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Required Skills and Abilities
•Excellent verbal & written communication skills
•Extremely detail-orientated and well organized
•Proven ability to direct, track & manage a number of competing priorities and initiatives simultaneously
•Ability to work well both independently & within a team, set priorities, and work under pressure to meet changing deadlines while maintaining quality
•Accommodates last minute changes and can respond to needs quickly and with grace
•Strong analytical rigor with quantitative capabilities
•Professional, dependable, respectful, friendly and consistently works to uphold company ethics and standards
•Proficiency in Microsoft 365
