Overview - CRO (f/m/d)
This is a full-time position based in Berlin, Germany.
CareerFoundry is hiring a Chief Revenue Officer to lead our Sales, Go-To-Market & B2G teams to manage and oversee revenue and growth within the business. As one of the leading companies focused on reshaping education and upskilling for the future of work, we are passionate about building products to support learning and increase access to affordable education. It is a major goal of CareerFoundry to bring education to those who would normally struggle to afford education and reshape their careers. An impressive 90% of students who complete their course go on to find a new career.
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven leader who is passionate about individual learning and development. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, have an extensive background in sales & business development and has a proven track record of driving revenue & growth in new markets and countries. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, the CRO will enable the Sales & Go-To-Market teams to grow within new geographies along with expanding our B2G strategy.
Your Responsibilities
- Take co-ownership for company revenue growth with the CMO. The partnership between the CRO & CMO is vital to ensure that there are no silos between marketing and sales and will determine the future success of CareerFoundry
- Define and lead B2C, B2G, B2B sales strategies and conversion rates at the bottom of the funnel
- Develop B2G into a strong business line by expanding in Germany & Europe
- Develop and implement a strategy for increasing lifetime value
- Play an imperative part in the companies growth strategy by identifying and leading expansion within new geographies
- Build a successful data driven pricing strategy for the business from the ground up
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience of marketing and sales in startups
- An excellent understanding of marketing (ideally content marketing)
- An impressive background in sales and business development and are confident working with and leading distributed sales teams
- The ideal candidate would have experience developing B2G markets
- A natural entrepreneurial flare
- Experience leading remote-first, distributed teams
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience in conversion rate optimization is a plus
- Fluent in English
