Overview
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for sales and customer service related to Management Companies targeted within a geographic territory and/or customer portfolio.
Minimum Qualifications
- Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Have a vehicle capable of significant travel, including a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Be willing and able to meet extensive travel requirements.
- Be fluent in reading, writing, understanding and communicating in English.
- Basic computer literacy and experience are required for this position.
- Have specified education such as a BA, equivalent or above.
- Have above average mathematical and literacy skills, with excellent presentation skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office tools to include a thorough ability to use MSFT Outlook and MSFT Excel is required for this position.
- Have the ability to calculate gross margin dollars and percentage.
- Have the ability to persuade and influence others using honest and ethical sales and account management techniques.
- Knowledge of advanced sales and marketing techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of field territory along with a number of relationships within multifamily industry.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential Corporate Account customers.
- Develop presentations, quotes, and purchasing agreements for management companies and/or portfolios, multiple properties or individual properties as needed.
- Establish, develop and maintain professional relationships with national, local and regional decision-makers within targeted management companies, and key associate vendors alike.
- Identify customer prospects and contact multiple management companies or properties in such a manner as to reach or exceed specific strategic sales goals and strategies.
- Promptly identify and troubleshoot customer issues and concerns using company approved methods and guidelines including, but not limited to, credit, delivery, product, training and pricing.
- Participate in regular and annual events such as, but not limited to, trade association events, training seminars and corporate marketing events. This requirement includes penetration onto local Apartment Associations and events.
- Assist and support accounts receivable department in the collection of past due monies by gathering desired information, submitting critical information, and performing any/all activity assigned by management in collection of such funds.
- Utilization of numerous company sales reports to capture, support and expand sales growth and penetration.
- Seek out bulk purchase and/or renovation opportunities. Assist in the information gathering and set up and monitoring of such jobs.
- Participate in regular corporate sales and operations events such as sales meetings, sales blitzes, customer training sessions, inventory counts and grand openings, etc.
