Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Vice President of Sales manages the entirety of our growing sales organization. This includes an Outside Sales team including Regional Sales Directors, District Managers, Team Leads and Outside Sales Reps. This role also oversees the Inside Sales team including the Inside Sales Director, Managers, Team Leads and their respective teams, as well as the Sales Operations function. Total headcount for this business unit is more than 250 associates and growing.
The SVP Sales assists with strategy, operations, financing and other Business Development and Marketing related activities at PosiGen. The SVP is also responsible for hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and delivering required targets, working cross functionally with other departments and prioritizing sales team workload.
This position comes with a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary of $200,000-$225,000, incentive plan, stock options, full benefits and more!
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and mentoring a sales team of over 250 full time employees across multiple states and markets to deliver on required targets
- Mentor and coach a team of Residential Energy Specialists and Inside Sales team within each market to exceed sales goals and KPI initiatives
- Work closely with other departments and divisions to improve opportunity assessments, ensure alignment and facilitate buy-in
- Collaborate with the New Markets team to identify growth opportunities as PosiGen scales. This may include: research and analysis of potential new markets (including market segmentation analysis, permitting requirements, and available incentives, hiring, go to market planning, real estate of sales and ops locations)
- Develop recommendations for organizational and process improvements to ensure efficient selling practices
- In partnership with Technology and Sales Operations, help evolve the software including SalesForce, Ambition, Five9, and other applicable systems
- Liaise with the Sales Operations Team on lead volume and down funnel impact of leads purchased
- Effective demonstration of sales process, able to identify buying criteria, eliminate objections, and develop solutions to close the sale
- Frequent travel (up to 50%) across all Markets where PosiGen is located
- Research and draft responses to RPFs, grant opportunities, investment inquiries, and regulatory content (or similar, such as legislative drafting)
- Instrumental at solving performance gaps within sales process - addressing sales submission challenges, welcome call and cancellation deficiencies and improve the customer buying experience
- Create and execute a yearly budget encompassing headcount, compensation, promotions, incentives, marketing spend, and other metrics relating to cost of acquisition

- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with excellent command of Excel
- Familiarity with SPSS or STATA
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years sales management experience required; must have managed a sales organization of at least 100 full-time employees
- Minimum of 10 years business development, market research, and statistical analysis experience required
- Experience in solar or renewable energy a plus
- Experience with B2C sales and Business Development required
- Excellent computer skills including a deep understanding of CRMs and Google applications
- Highly proficient with desktop applications such as Adobe Acrobat Professional, Google Workspace, and Internet Explorer including an ability to learn new IT systems
- Demonstrated commitment to financial inclusion, social justice, and/or access to clean energy
- Must have valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation

Base Salary
